Kalpana Ettenson

Kalpana Ettenson is the Chief of Staff to the Chief Communications Officer at Cisco. In this role, she is responsible for helping set and guide strategy for Cisco’s Global Communications team. She also leads Corporate Messaging, managing a team that develops and writes executive-level messaging for internal and external audiences.

Ms. Ettenson was previously Senior Director of CEO Communications. In that role, she managed a team responsible for the Chair and CEO’s public relations and media engagements, internal and external keynotes and events, Board of Directors presentations, company meetings, social media, and video presentations. At Cisco, she has also held roles managing communications for the Chief of Operations, as well as for the Sales organization.

Prior to Cisco, Ms. Ettenson spent 10 years at PC World Magazine, where she was a Senior Editor responsible for managing hardware and software reviews for publication in print and online.

Ms. Ettenson holds a bachelor’s degree from U.C. Berkeley.
