Please join San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, SFUSD Superintendent Dr. Vincent Matthews, the San Francisco Board of Education, and the board of Spark SF Public Schools at the 2nd Annual Spark Event – “Spark a Revolution” – on October 27, 2017 at the Fairmont San Francisco.

The Spark Event is an annual celebration that brings together our broad ecosystem of visionary partners who are passionate about improving public education in San Francisco. True to Vision 2025, we want each student to be ready to succeed in the 21st century, possessing the skills and confidence to achieve their dreams and goals for their future. The 2017 Spark Event will provide a unique and intimate opportunity for invited guests to:

·      Meet and welcome the new superintendent, Dr. Vincent Matthews.
·      Hear about his plan, vision and priorities for moving SFUSD forward.
·      Ask questions and learn more about how your investments will spark the big shifts needed to truly transform education in this city.

Bringing Vision 2025 to life—turning it from a vision into a true social movement with a heartbeat all its own— is a coordinated effort across the city by civic, business and philanthropic leaders. We celebrate our visionary partners that have joined together to empower our public school system to become an engine for growth and change throughout San Francisco. We also welcome the opportunity to bring in new innovative partners and deepen the collective conversation about the future of our students, our city, and the world.

Inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, we are honoring SFUSD’s core values of being united, diversity-driven, student-centered, fearless, and committed to social justice.

Together we can create an education revolution.
